Not everything is possible, even when you possess the 18th-biggest fortune in the UK (according to 2009’s Sunday Times Rich List). In February, Anita & Poju Zabludowicz suspended plans to build a museum for their 1,000-plus collection of artworks in downtown Las Vegas, citing a constraining city-imposed deadline. But 176, their London gallery in a converted chapel, is going strong, showcasing young artists, offering guest curatorships and mounting sterling group shows. Judging by their continued support of the Zoo Art Fair and Anita recently exhibiting her photography collection and talent-spotting young snappers in New York, theirs remains a model of restlessly committed art philanthropy.
